Fame Is In His Name

Matthew 4:24..And his fame went throughout all Syria, and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with different diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy, and he healed them. Fame definition- report concerning anyone, widespread reputation.

How did his fame end up in Syria? Because somebody spread the word that there was a man named Jesus that was working miracles among the people!

Mark1:28..And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee, v.32.. and at evening when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased and possessed with devils. And All the city was gathered together at the door.

What happened to cause all this ruckus? Jesus had been to church and cast a demon out of a man, and the congregation wondered, What new doctrine is this?

And it caused his fame to spread throughout Galilee!

Isn’t it time we proclaimed the Name of Jesus once again outside the church house, in the streets, in the mountains, in the valleys! Everywhere we go, make his Name famous to this generation!

Mark 1:40..And there came a leper to him, beseeching him and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him if thou will, thou can make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and said unto him, I will, be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

Jesus told this former leper, don’t tell anyone, but go to the priest, and take a cleansing offering.

V.45.. But he went out, and began to Publish it much, and to Blaze abroad the matter so that Jesus had to resort to the desert, and was was surrounded on every side by people!

Are we Blazing that precious Name to others! Are we Publishing it much to this lost world!

His fame went through All Syria, All Galilee, All Judaea, All Jerusalem!!

Make his name famous once again to your family, friends, co-workers, enemies, anyone who will listen! Neither is there salvation in any other, for There is NONE other NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved!

The Church has been too quiet concerning this Great Name...we want to keep this Name in the four walls of our congregation! We know there is persecution associated with this name, that this name bears a reproach, that there’s a certain stigma attached to this name!

In the church house we are loud, but on the streets we are silent, and this generation, who is seeking for someone to show compassion is slowly slipping into Hell!

In Capernaum, so many years ago, it was noised that he was in the house...Let’s make some noise! Let’s tell someone, anyone, everyone that Jesus still sets men free!

Make his name famous amongst the people!

Shout Jesus from the mountains..Jesus in the streets..Jesus in the darkness..over every enemy..Jesus for my family..I speak the Holy Name—JESUS..Your Name is Power..Your Name is Healing..Your Name is Life..Break Every stronghold..shine through the shadows..burn like a fire!
