Wherein Ye Greatly Rejoice

1 Peter 9:3-8..Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy, has begotten us again (we were born first of the flesh, now born again of the Spirit) unto a lively (living) hope ( Paul call this the Blessed hope) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4. To an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time ( last days) 6. Wherein ye greatly rejoice.
What was Peter saying? If we are born again of the Spirit of God, we have an inheritance in heaven that will never rust, never be defiled, will never corrupt, a crown of life, ready and waiting for us who are kept by the power of God until the day of our salvation from this world to our heavenly home and that should make us greatly rejoice! Even though, as he continues, we are in heaviness through various temptations that the trial of our faith might be found to praise, honor, and glory when Jesus appears. We haven't seen him, but we love him, and believe in him, and this causes us to rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory!
1 Peter 4:12.. Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you. But rejoice, in as much as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings, that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
The trial of our faith is not to destroy us, but to prove us. If we belong to Jesus, we will be tried and tested, we will be partakers of his sufferings, so that when His glory is revealed, we will greatly rejoice because we will be like him, for we shall see him as he is, and every man that has this hope in him, purifies himself even as He is pure(1 John 3:2-3). The fiery trial that is to try you, that you may be purified as gold, brings great rejoicing at the appearing of Jesus!
Isa. 61:10..I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a Bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.. We have been clothed and robed! Don't it make you want to rejoice?! God bless.
